Izwi Lethu offers interactive marimba workshops for schools, community centres, and cultural organizations across Edmonton and Alberta. Our sessions are rooted in authentic Zimbabwean musical traditions and designed to be engaging, accessible, and hands-on. Participants do not just watch the music, they play it together. Through rhythm, movement, and collaboration, students build confidence, cultural understanding, and a strong sense of community.
Ngorimba offers professional African music performances for schools, cultural celebrations, festivals across Edmonton and Alberta, corporate events, galas, and community gatherings. Performances are available as a solo marimba set, a duo or trio, or a full electric band depending on the scale of your event. From classrooms to main stages, Ngorimba brings the energy and rhythm of Zimbabwean music into contemporary performance spaces, creating an experience that is vibrant, engaging, and unforgettable.
Izwi Lethu Arts Society is an Edmonton-based African arts organization dedicated to amplifying African and immigrant voices through music, cultural education, and professional performance. Rooted in Zimbabwean traditions and guided by pan-African values, we create meaningful platforms where artists teach, perform, and lead on their own terms.
Izwi Lethu Arts Society exists to build professional platforms where African and immigrant artists perform, teach, and lead through music, cultural education, and collaboration. We are working toward a Canada where African voices are essential to the cultural landscape, supported by sustainable, community-rooted infrastructure that allows artists to thrive and shape their own narratives.
